Biography

Ms Makarenko was born on February 4, 1964 in the village Monastyryshche Ichnianskyi region, Chernihivska oblast. In 1987 T. Makarenko graduated from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, the specialty History of the CPSU, having obtained the qualification Historian, a teacher of History of the CPSU, History and Social Sciences. Tamara Makarenko has been working at Berdiansk State Pedagogical University since 1987. In 1990, T. Makarenko held the position of a trainee researcher at the Department of Political History at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv to prepare her PhD thesis.

In 2004 T. Makarenko completed an internship at the Institute of Postgraduate Education of Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University. In 2012 she completed an internship at Zaporizhzhya National University, at the Department of History of State and Law. In 2018, T. Makarenko completed an internship at Wyższa szkoła społeczno-gospodarcza, the city of Pshevorsk, Poland.

In 2002 T. Makarenko was awarded an Honorary Diploma of the Executive Committee of Berdiansk City Council for her achievements in public and educational work.

Since 2016, Tamara Makarenko has been working at the Department of Law of Berdiansk State Pedagogical University.

The topic of PhD thesis: “The Policy of Ukrainian Central Council on National Minorities (March 1917 – April 1918)”, defended in December 2008. In 2014, T. Makarenko was awarded an academic title of Associate Professor.

From 2010 to 2013 Ms Makarenko was holding the position of Deputy Dean for Educational work at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities.

Since 2015 she has been holding the position of Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities of Berdiansk State Pedagogical University.

Areas of scientific activity: History of Ukrainian Revolution of 1917-1921, The Policy of Ukrainian Central Council on National Minorities (1917-1918)
