The History of the Department
The history of the Department began in the 1960-70s of the 20th century, and it is connected with the scientific and methodological activity of Professor V.L. Rvachov, an academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, DSc in Physics and Mathematics. In 1994, a separate Department of Computer Science was founded that was headed by Oleksandr V. Sosnytskyi, a PhD in Engineering, an Associate Professor. In 1998 − 1999, the Department was headed by V.I. Shavalova, a PhD in Education, Associate Professor. In 1999, the Department was headed by Vitalii H. Khomenko, a PhD in Engineering, an Associate Professor. In 2001, the Department of Computer Science was renamed the Department of Computer Technologies and Methods of Computer Science. In 2003, on the basis of the Department of Computer Technologies and Methods of Computer Science, the two departments were formed − the Department of Computer Technologies in Management and Education as well as the Department of Computer Science and Information Technologies.
On September 1, 2016, the Department was reorganized into the Department of Computer Technologies in Management and Education and Teaching Computer Science that has been run by Vitalii H. Khomenko a DSc in Education, a PhD in Engineering, a Professor.
