In 2018, as a result of the activity of the “Journalism” academic speciality of BSPU students was launched their own StudMediaBSPU’s YouTube Channel. The content of it is created on the basis of the Educational Laboratory of Television and Radio Journalism of the BSPU, which was opened thanks to the implementation of a grant project with the support of the Media Development Fund of the US Embassy in Ukraine in 2017.
StudMediaBSPU is a channel which brings togethet hat collects videos about various areas of our university’s life. Educational, scientific, cultural and mass, journalistic, literary, entertainment content made with love for their educational institution. Here, everyone will find a video “to their liking”: whether it’s career guidance videos for future applicants, or poignant greetings from students to the Independence Day of Ukraine, or a master class on making Ukrainian jewelry and a lecture on the “Scattered Renaissance”.
But that’s not all! 2021 was a very busy year, despite the quarantine. It was during this period that many media campaigns, stories, reports and author’s projects were filmed and edited, in which awardees and teachers of all faculties of the BSPU took part.
Here are some of the most extensive:
- Video competition “16 days against violence” – a series of videos designed to draw society’s attention to the problems of overcoming domestic violence, child abuse, combating human trafficking and protecting women’s rights.
- “Mr. BDPU 2021” and “Miss BDPU 2021” – an annual competition among talented and charismatic male and female students.
- “Student Halloween” – a selection of scary and confusing stories by famous authors from the philologists of the BSPU.
- “Writers as teachers – teachers as writers” – a project inspired by students of FFSK under the leadership of teachers of the Department of Ukrainian and foreign literature and comparative literature Olga Harlan, Maryna Bogdanova, Hanna Aleksandrova.
As well as festive greetings from the Rector Igor Bogdanov, virtual University tour, buildings and the dormitory (currently relevant for those who could not see it with their own eyes at the time of admission), book trailers from students, issues of the student literary almanac “Vitryla”.
Thanks to the grant “Upgrading the training laboratory of radio and television journalism and the creation of a scientific and educational media hub” provided by the US Embassy in Ukraine (2021/22), the material and technical support of the laboratory was replenished with new equipment and a Scientific and educational media hub was opened.
Despite the fact that our country is at war, the university has moved to Zaporizhzhia, and our university family is scattered all over the globe, the laboratory and channel StudMediaBSPU continue to function, prepare new content and diversify your YouTube recommendations.
Therefore, we look forward to your likes, comments and subscriptions!
