Biography

Iryna Petiahina was born on December 2, 1968 in the city of Berdiansk, Zaporizhzhia oblast.

After graduating from High School # 2 with a silver medal in 1986, I. Petiahina entered Kazan State University, the Faculty of Law.

From 1991 to 2002, Iryna Petiahina worked as a leading general legal counsel in governmental and financial institutions. She has almost 15 years of banking experience.

Ms Petiahina started working as a lecturer in 1996 (teaching Banking Law at the Azov Regional Institute of Management, Berdiansk). Since 2002 she has worked as a Senior Lecturer at the Azov Regional Institute of Management, holding the position of Deputy Head of the Department of Branch Legal Disciplines.

In 2011 Ms Petiahina worked as a Senior Lecturer of the Department of Branch Legal Disciplines at Berdiansk Institute of State and Municipal Administration affiliated to the Classic Private University.

In 2012 Ms Petiahina entered a postgraduate study of the Classic Private University, specialty 12.00.07 Administrative Law and Process; Finance Law; Information Law; the topic of the research “Financial Legal Regulation of Compulsory State Pension Insurance in Ukraine”.

Since September 2015 I. Petiahina has been working as a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Law of Berdiansk State Pedagogical University.
