In 1960 graduated from the Glukhiv State Pedagogical Institute.
In 1974 defended his candidate’s dissertation on the theme “Formation of the Sensation of Rhythm in the Visual Activity of Children” (scientific supervisor – Doctor of Philosophy, Professor T. S. Komarova).
In 1989 received the academic rank of Professor of the Theory and Methodology of Preschool Education.
Work Activity
From 1960 to 1985 worked at the Zaporizhzhya State Pedagogical Institute on the posts of a Senior Lecturer, Associate Professor, Head of the Department.
Since 1985 has been working at the Berdyansk Pedagogical University.
From 2004 till 2014 headed the Department of Social Pedagogy.
Since 2014 has been working as a Professor of the Department of Social Work and Inclusive Education.
Total Experience of Pedagogical Activity: 60 years
The Spheres of Scientific Interests: problem of children’ aesthetic upbringing of preschool and junior school age.
Developed the author’s methodology for teaching preschoolers in drawing.
The author of more than 80 publications.
One of the co-authors of the collective monograph among the scientists of the Laboratory of Age Psychophysiology of the Research Institute of Preschool Education of the Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of the USSR, Moscow, “Genesis of Sensory Abilities” (1976). This work was recognized in psychological science and award with the Diploma II degree of the Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of the USSR and publication not only in the domestic scientific press, but also abroad (Italy).

- Galina Pidkurgan – “Pedagogical Conditions for Preschool Age Children’s Training of the Composition Basics in Visual Activity” (1988).
- Victoria Zakharova – “Training as a Condition for Activating the Senior Preschool Age Children’s Creativity by Means of Visual Activity” (1995).
- Elena Malitskaya – “Pedagogical Conditions of Younger Students’ Education in the Basics of Fine Arts” (2003).
