The Faculty of the Humanities and Economics
The Faculty of the Humanities and Economics as a structural unit of BSPU was founded in September 2016 on the basis of Socio-Humanitarian Faculty and the Faculty of Economics. The Dean of the Faculty of the Humanities and Economics is Tamara P. Makarenko, PhD in History, Associate Professor.
The faculty trains higher education seekers in the following specialties:
- Secondary Education (History). Specialization: Jurisprudence.
- History and Archeology.
- Law.
- Economics.
- Finance, Banking and Insurance.
- Management. Specializations: Management of Hotel, Resort and Tourist Service; Management of an Educational Institution (Master’s course).
- Entrepreneurship, Trade and Stock Exchange Activity. Specialization: Entrepreneurship in the Field of Trade and Services (Master’s course).
The faculty has six departments:
- The Department of History and Philosophy (headed by Ihor Lyman, DSc in History, Professor);
- The Department of Law (headed by Dmytro Kamenskyi, PhD in Law, Associate Professor);
- The Department of Pedagogy of Higher Education, Management of an Educational Institution and Methods of Teaching Social Science Disciplines (headed by Vasyl Kryzhko, PhD in Education, Professor);
- The Department of Economics of an Enterprise and Economic Theory (headed by Anatolii Zhyhir, DSc in Economics, Professor);
- The Department of Finance and Credit (headed by Pavlo Zakharchenko, DSc in Economics, Professor);
- The Department of Management (headed by Halyna Kazachkovska, PhD in Economics, Associate Professor).
