The Department is the organizer and participant of all-Ukrainian and international research-to-practice conferences devoted to actual problems of social and pedagogical work with children and youth. So, from 2009-2015 4 research-to-practice conferences and 1 scientific and methodical seminar were organized and conducted:

• All-Ukrainian Student Conference “Tolerance of Interpersonal Relationships of Pupils and Students” (2009);
• All-Ukrainian Research-to-Practice Conference “Formation of Children and Young People Healthy Lifestyle as an Integrated Scientific and Practical Problem” (2010);
• Regional Scientific and Methodical Seminar for the Teachers and Practical Workers “Actual Problems of Social and Pedagogical Work in the Education System ” (2012);
• All-Ukrainian Research-to-Practice Conference “Polycultural Education in Ukraine: History, Contemporary, Prospects” (2013);
• International Research-to-Practice Conference “Polyculturalism as a Pedagogical Problem” (2015);
• International Research-to-Practice Conference “Training of Pedagogical and Educational Managers for Work with Heterogeneous Groups and Organizations” (2016).

Within the framework of scientific cooperation, the Department of Social Work and Inclusive Education cooperates with:

• Laboratory of Social Pedagogy of the Institute of Problems on Education of The National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine (NAES of Ukraine);
• Department of Social and Economic Education and Management of the National Dragomanov Pedagogical University;
• Faculty Board of Social Pedagogy and Psychology of Zaporizhzhya National University;
• Department of Social Pedagogics of the G.S. Skovoroda Kharkiv National Pedagogical University.

Awards and Participation in Projects

For the fruitful and innovative scientific and pedagogical work teaching staff of the department were awarded:

In 2010 O. I. Hurenko received the diploma of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine for his personal creative contribution to the improvement of the process of training and education of youth at the XIII International Exhibition of Educational Establishments “Modern Education in Ukraine – 2010” for the report “Polycultural Aspect of Future Social Educators’ Professional Training”.

In 2013 O. I. Hurenko was awarded with the honorary diploma for the active work on the introduction of pedagogical innovations in the educational process at the International Exhibition “Modern Educational Establishments” (Kyiv) for the report “Education of Ethnic Tolerance of Students of the Direction of Preparation of Social Pedagogy”.

In 2015, the members of the Tempus IV project team “Training of Teachers and Educational Managers to Work with Heterogeneous Groups and Organizations” in the BSPU O. I. Hurenko, N. M. Zakharova received the Golden Medal in the nomination” Innovations in the Development of International Cooperation and the Presentation of National Education in the World and European Educational And Scientific Space “at the Sixth International Exhibition” Modern Education Institutions – 2015 “(Kyiv) for the competitive work “Training of Teachers and Educational Managers to Work with Heterogeneous Groups and Organizations.

From 2013 to 2016, the teaching staff of the department took an active part in the international grant project TEMPUS: 543873- TEMPUS-1-2013-1-DE-TEMPUS-JPCR “Training of teachers and educational managers to work with heterogeneous groups and organizations” (Prof. O. I. Gurenko – Coordinator of the BSPU Project, Assistant Professor N. M. Zakharova – Project Participant).
