Regulations on the department

The Educational Department is a structural unit of Berdyansk State Pedagogical University, functionally subordinated to the First Vice-Rector. It is created, reorganised and liquidated by the decision of the Academic Council of the University.

 

The purpose of the Educational Department is to plan and organise the management of the educational process, to control the quality and effectiveness of educational activity, as well as to keep records and prepare reports on the educational and methodological issues at the University.

 

TASKS OF THE EDUCATIONAL DEPARTMENT

  • Implementation of the concept of educational activity of the University;
  • organisation of educational and methodological work at the University and its systematic improvement;
  • organisation of licensing of programme subject areas and accreditation of educational programmes of the University;
  • implementation of the management system of higher education quality at the University;
  • organisation of the development and implementation of joint (Ukrainian and EU) educational programmes of higher educational institutions;
  • coordination of educational, scientific and methodological work of faculties and departments;
  • organisation of the development of components of scientific and methodological support of the educational process;
  • analysis of the quality of scientific and methodological support of the educational process;
  • creation of draft university normative, instructional, organisational and methodological documents on planning and organisation of the educational process, scientific and methodological work, licensing, accreditation and statistics, as well as awarding scholarships, etc;
  • informing the deans and heads of departments about new regulations, instructions and other directives on the organisation of educational and methodological work;
  • implementation of decisions of the University Methodological Council in the educational process;
  • collecting, analysing and summarising information on the quality of educational services at the University;
  • preparation of answers to letters and inquiries regarding issues of educational and methodological work.
