The Department organizes the work of Krok Nazustrich (Step to Meet) volunteer team, the participants of which take an active part in city activities for children with special needs.
The Speech Therapy Training Centre has been functioning on the Department premises since 2015. Consultations and individual classes are organized by the lecturers of the Department of Applied Psychology and Speech Therapy with the involvement of the students. The purpose of the education and consultation centre functioning is the formation of professional competences in future remedial pedagogues in the field of diagnostics and remediation of speech disturbances, as well as providing free assistance to the population.
