We invite everyone who cares to join and support the development of youth culture, science, and sports in the Zaporizhia region.
This presentation was delivered on May 12, 2025, during the International Activity Presentation Day at Berdyansk State Pedagogical University (BSPU). It showcases BSPU's strategic commitment to open science as a response to wartime challenges and institutional displacement. Vice-Rector for Research, Prof. Yana Sychikova, outlines how open science has become a tool for preserving academic continuity, promoting ethical and responsible research practices, and engaging with global initiatives such as the Barcelona Declaration on Open Research Information, Budapest Open Access Initiative, and CARE Principles.
The presentation highlights BSPU’s role in national reforms (Open4UA project), data governance, implementation of FAIR and CARE principles, repository development, metadata standardization, and international collaborations. It also reflects on the evolving concept of a "University without Walls" and how Ukrainian higher education institutions are shaping new models of scientific resilience under crisis conditions.
