Grant, project, and international activities

  • 2025 – Travel grant funded by the European Society for Evolutionary Biology; used to undertake a working visit to Uzhhorod and participate in the Ukrainian School of Evolutionary Biology (USEB2025).
  • 2022–2026 – Participation in the implementation of nature conservation projects by the Frankfurt Zoological Society (Germany), with Cheremoskyi National Nature Park serving as a project site; project support for activities within the park, coordination of nature conservation and scientific data collection and processing, and preparation of informational and reporting materials.
  • 2023–2024 – Project “Ukraine – Cheremoskyi National Nature Park: Establishing a Pilot Animal Rehabilitation Center” – preparation of the grant application; funding provided via international technical assistance from the Polish-American Freedom Foundation and the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship (Republic of Poland).
  • 2025–2026 – Preparation and development of international grant applications on behalf of Cheremoskyi National Nature Park under the LIFE and Interreg NEXT programs (specifically CARPATHIAN LIFE, FOREST NEXT, and FLORES-ROUA), as well as an application for PTES Conservation Insight Grants (People’s Trust for Endangered Species, UK). 2026 – Developed and submitted a project proposal titled “Development and testing of a model for rational nature management within the Cheremoskyi National Nature Park using spatial analysis tools” (registration No. 2026.05/0052) to the competition for President of Ukraine grants supporting research and development by young scientists (PhD/Candidate of Sciences holders), administered by the National Research Foundation of Ukraine. Served as project leader and principal investigator. Following the review, the proposal was recommended for subsequent stages of the competitive selection process as compliant with the competition requirements.
  • 2025 – Participated in fostering cross-border nature conservation cooperation between Ukraine and Romania under the “Peace Park” initiative, aimed at preserving biodiversity in the Carpathian region and developing international partnerships between protected areas.
  • 2026 – Developed cooperation with WWF-Ukraine to implement conservation measures—specifically the construction of wildlife crossings in the border region—within a trilateral framework involving nature conservation agencies and the State Border Guard Service.

Awards, scholarships, and scientific achievements

  • 2021 – Nominee in the annual “Young Scientist of the Year” competition (based on 2020 activities) in the categories of “Biology,” “Ecology and Environmental Protection,” and “Scientist with a Scientometric Profile”; placed 3rd in the “Scientific Facebook Blogger” category.
  • 2022 – Nominee in the annual “Young Scientist of the Year” competition (based on 2021 activities) in the categories of “Biology,” “Ecology and Environmental Protection,” and “Scientist with a Scientometric Profile”; placed 4th in the “Scientific Facebook Blogger” category.
