Rector of Berdyansk State Pedagogical University (BSPU)




The Academic Council is established and operates in accordance with Article 34 of the Law of Ukraine “On Higher Education,” the Statute of BSPU, and these Regulations.


The primary trade union organization is a voluntary non-profit association of students and employees of the University, created to represent, protect and implement their educational, social and socio-economic rights and interests.
A full-time higher education student or an employee of the University who recognizes the Charter of the Trade Union of Education and Science Workers of Ukraine, has applied for membership and regularly pays union dues can become a member of the union.
The organization has a clear management structure, which makes it possible to carry out effective communication with the University administration, regional leadership and central government bodies on issues of socio-economic protection of union members.
The governing body of the union is the trade union committee, which includes active representatives of all faculties. The audit commission of the primary trade union organization controls financial activities and records management.
The trade union committee represents the interests of its members at the regional and all-Ukrainian levels, cooperates with employment centers, structural divisions of the regional state administration and other organizations.
The main areas of activity of the trade union committee cover issues of socio-economic protection, improvement of training and working conditions, organization of life, leisure, sports events, recreation and promotion of employment of trade union members.

In September 2015, within the framework of the 70th session of the UN General Assembly in New York, the Summit adopted the outcome document "Transforming our World: The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development," which established 17 Sustainable Development Goals and 169 targets. Ukraine, along with other UN member states, has joined the global process of ensuring sustainable development.
